Iconic Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster in an aged Olympic White finish with Slab Rosewood Fingerboard. Part of the popular Time Machine Series that the Fender Custom Shop has had as part of the catalogue since the late 90’s with the 1960 model proving to be one of the more popular models. This guitar is in excellent, well kept condition throughout with no additional wear evident to the factory Ageing.

Featuring a lightweight two piece Alder body with traditional routes. The Maple neck has a chocolate Slab Rosewood fingerboard with 9.50” radius, the profile is the comfortable early ’60s oval shape carve and the frets are medium jumbo wire. The nut measures 41.95mm wide with 1st and 12th fret depth measurements of 20.37mm and 24.11mm. Fitted with a Custom shop Texas Special in the bridge and ’69 single coil pickups Stratocaster. Pickups in the neck and middle wired to a 5-way switch with the bridge pickup wired to the tone control. The electronics are mounted to a 3-ply mint green and sound excellent with the 5-way switch allowing full range of classic Stratocaster tones. The pickups measure at the output 5.64K, 5.64K and 6.22K in the Neck, Middle and Bridge respectively. They have a great balance with the Texas Special in the bridge being an unexpected winner, fattening up the often weak sounding position and balancing nicely with the ’69s clarity and bell like chime. Out of phase sounds have a particularly expressive stratty cluck.

Weighing in at a highly reasonable 7.3lbs, the guitar comes with its deluxe Fender Custom Shop Case with Certificate and assorted accessories.
