The shell is filled with what they call "Rocket Foam," which they claim to be the most absorbent and deflective foam in the Universe! This foam has a calculated degree of hardness determined by its' density. Your average gigbags are generally known as "Soft Hollow Internal Types" (or S.H.I.T.) because the foam used is mainly open-cell in structure resulting in a soft, weak foam. Anyway...
