Wonderfully aged 35 year old Martin in excellent condition. A rare guitar with only 29 000-28s produced in 1986.
The guitar features a wonderfully Honeyed solid Sitka spruce top, elegantly figured select East Indian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck with diamond volute and adjustable truss rod, Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Appointments include multi-ply body binding and sound hole rosette, black pickguard, white with black dot bridge-pins and Martin branded sealed tuners. The guitar has a 24.9”scale with a 43mm nut width and 54mm string spacing.
The guitar is in great condition, it been played but very well cared for. Free from cracks or repairs, the back and sides are in excellent condition, the top has the odd ding and there is evidence below the strings of natural play wear. The guitar plays very well, the frets show some minor wear in the 1st position but still have plenty of height. The action at the 12th fret is 3/32”. The neck is a comfortable C profile with a medium depth.
The guitar has been fitted with an under saddle pickup and ships with it’s original Martin Hardcase
