Crafted by the talented men and women of the Gibson Custom Shop the ’57 Reissue has been in production since the ‘90s, a certified classic it features the all important Antique gold Goldtop finish, carved Maple top, Mahogany back and one-piece Mahogany neck with long tenon joint and bound Rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapeze position marker inlays. 1957 was the first year the Les Paul Model was fitted with Humbuckers and the Reissue has a great pair of matched Burstbucker 1 and 2 PAF style Humbuckers fitted. Hardware is Nickel throughout, gently patinated to match the guitars finish. Tuners are Gibson Deluxe with Keystone buttons. Bridge and tailpiece are period correct ABR-1 and stop tailpiece and the plastics are aged cream.
The guitar is in stunning condition, the iconic goldtop finish is excellent throughout and is close to faultless. The neck is a chunky C profile. Measurements are 42.94mm, 23.94mm and 25.96mm at the nut, 1st and 12th fret respectively. The guitar plays very well on its original frets with little sign of wear. The Burstbucker pickups measure 7.32 in the neck and 7.85.
The guitar weighs a comfortable 9.2lbs and comes with its original Gibson case and Certificate.
