1976 Fender Stratocaster, Natural
Excellent 1976 Fender Stratocaster in Natural over Ash with Maple Neck and Fingerboard. A great looking mid-seventies guitar with that sounds great thanks to its original pickups.
Featuring an Ash body with its original factory natural finish with no additional routes or modifications, a Maple fingerboard neck with bullet truss rod, two string retainers and skunk stripe. Body and neck both have Fender codes and stamps as to be expected from this period although the neck green ink neck code has faded. Pickups and hardware are correct and original to the guitar the pots are modern replacements and the switch is a five-way.
The guitar weighs in at a nicely balanced 8.5lbs, a very good weight for this era. The pickups measures 5.66K, 5.56K and 5.49K from neck to bridge. The neck has a fairly large feel, it isn’t quite the large profile early 50’s Strats are known for but is a pleasant surprise for players that prefer a bigger profile neck. The neck measures 21.41mm at the 1st fret and 24.50 at the 12th with the standard Fender nut width of 42.63mm measured when with callipers.
All in a great seventies Stratocaster with all the iconic Fender tones in abundance.
