Released in 1961 as the first model in the new B series of acoustic instruments that would eventually consist of the B-45, B-25 and B-15. The range was produced between 1961 and 1979 and like the earlier LG series would prove to be immediately popular. The B-45 initially was produced with round shoulders changing to square in ’63 along with the introduction of a Natural finish B-45N. 1965 would se the B-45 gain a tailpiece in addition to the rosewood bridge.

Spruce top, Mahogany back and rims, mahogany neck with pearl inlayed unbound rosewood fingerboard, 24 3/4” scale length with a 2” nut width, pearloid double triangle headstock inlay, belly above rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle, single ply tortoiseshell pickguard and original six on a plate Kluson tuners. There is some movement as is to be expected to the guitar top around the sound hole by the pickguard, the guitar is stable and plays well with a good action all the way up the neck getting a little buzzy past the 12th fret. The guitar looks great with minimal signs of use, the lacquer is glossy and lustrous with only the faintest of checking. Crack free throughout, there is the trace of previous work to the bridge and an old repair to the very tip of the headstock.

The guitar comes with a non-original hard shell case.
