Harmony H68 in exceptional, original condition and in excellent playing order. A stunning example throughout and a fantastic example of Harmony quality from towards the end of the companies production. In essence an evolution of the highly sought after H62 of the 1950’s and 60’s, the H68 was released in 1968 with production lasting up until 1971 the H-68 was a range topping instrument with appointments to match.

Featuring a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, the body has a full depth of 3, 3/8” and a width of 16, 1/2” across the lower bout. The neck is one piece Maple with a pearloid block-inlayed Rosewood fingerboard, topped with a Rosewood headstock veneer neatly inlayed with a pearloid Harmony logo and fleur de lis. Waverly open-backed tuners look elegant, operate smoothly and hold tune well. Pickups are (despite the oversized covers) the fabled Rowe Industry Goldfoil single coil pickups. Original hardware is all intact including the tortoise pickguard, trapeze tailpiece and floating bridge with metal saddles.

The guitar plays smoothly strung with flatwound strings and sounds wonderful thanks to its Goldfoil pickups with the full, detailed tone they are known for. Acoustically the guitar has decent cut and mid presence thanks in part to its 25 1/4” scale length. Cosmetically the guitar is in superb condition throughout and is a real eye-catcher in the flesh with an original and unfaded Sunburst finish.

Included with the guitar are the original soft shell case, Harmony information leaflets and cable. The Harmony H68 represents excellent vintage value as an upmarket, American made guitar from the tail-end of Harmony 's production. All in all a great sounding, easy playing, full size Spruce archtop in exemplary condition.
