1973 Gibson ES-335TD in a striking, dark Walnut finish - a great player, lightweight with a pair of strong Pat No. Humbuckers complete with its original case and Tags.

This guitar is a great example of an early ‘70s ES-335 and as such has many of the features from this period. The Walnut finish option was introduced on the ES-335 in the early 1970s and would quickly go on to outsell the more traditional Cherry and Sunburst finishes over the course of the decade. The original finish is in good condition with a few nicks and marks but nothing to detract from then overall appearance of a played 50 year old guitar. Internally the electronics are original and untouched with two strong Pat No Sticker Humbuckers and a pot code dating to 20th week of 1973. The nut and frets are original and the guitar plays well. Hardware is correct and in great condition with a chrome ABR-1 and double-ring Kluson Deluxe tuners.

The guitar feels great to play. The original frets have a wide and low profile but the playability remains great. Weighing at 7.5lbs it has a lively acoustic ring, amplified the guitar is loud despite its pair of Pat No Sticker Humbuckers measuring what you would expect at 7.65k and 7.49K in the neck and bridge respectively. The neck is the typical early seventies compact profile with a 40.44mm nut width and a depth at the 1st fret of 21.74.

The guitar travels with its pictured original Gibson case and Tags. A really cool, vibey example in a very attractive dark Walnut finish.
