Excellent, original 1978 Fender Strat in an attractive Olympic White finish with Maple neck Maple fingerboard and black plastics. The guitar is a great example in excellent original condition.

Featuring an Alder body with original factory Olympic White finish with no additional routes or modifications. A Maple neck with bullet truss rod, two string retainers and skunk stripe. Body and neck both have the Fender codes and stamps as to be expected for this era with the neck bearing a clear ’78 date code. The electronics comprise of three 1978 dated flat pole piece single coil pickups with three 1978 CTS pots. Switch and capacitor is correct and all wiring is clean and appears 100% unmolested. Hardware comprises of the original Schaller made Fender ‘F’ tuners, black plastic pickup covers and pickguard. The tremolo and saddles are the correct 1970’s Mazak unit.

Late seventies Fenders have seen a real increase in popularity recently and despite production numbers being greater than the ‘50s and ‘60s good clean original examples are getting harder to find. This ’78 looks great, sounds fantastic and is in excellent original condition. It weighs in at 9.2 lbs and comes with a tweed '50s style Fender case.
