Superb Martin D-28 from 2010, nicely played in and in great condition. In production since the early 1930’s the Martin D-28 has earned quite a reputation. Known for it’s booming projection and harmonically rich, high quality tone it became popular initially amongst Bluegrass and Country players and would go on to be used by countless musicians in doing so becoming the benchmark Dreadnought and a staple of the Martin Guitars Catalog.

This D-28 from 2010, features a hand selected Sitka Spruce top. Back and sides are Indian Rosewood with a pleasant figure and colour. The Mahogany neck features the D-28 Signature Diamond Volute and a Rosewood Headstock overlay with gold Martin Guitars logo. Fingerboard and bridge are Ebony. Appointments include black and white body binding with black and white purfling around the soundhole, pearl dot position markers, Multi-Stripe back inlay, black teardrop pickguard and Grover Rotomatic tuners.

The guitar is in gently played condition with very little wear to the body of guitar top, the neck has the odd bump and some light capo chatter primarily towards the nut. The neck has Martin's low oval profile with a depth at the 1st fret of 21.34mm. Nut width is 43.21mm with a 54mm string spacing at the bridge. Frets show very little wear. The action is 3mm at the 12th fret on the bass side with lots of room on the saddle for adjustment.
