Description

This wonderfully played in D-18 needs no introduction, a mainstay of the Martin range since its introduction in 1931 with it’s unchanged pairing of Mahogany and Spruce in a Dreadnought body the D-18 has become a timeless classic for good reason.

Featuring a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides. The Mahogany neck has a Rosewood Fingerboard and 20 frets with pearl dot inlays. Appointments include a Rosewood headstock overlay with gold Martin Guitars logo, simple black and white purfling around the soundhole and black body binding. A belly below Rosewood bridge is fitted with a drop in bone saddle.

The guitar is in played but well cared for condition. The gloss finish is clean with no marks to mention other than the usual, light handling wear. The original frets have plenty of height and show only light wear. The neck has Martin's low oval profile with a depth at the 1st fret of 21.61mm. Nut width is 43.19mm with a 54mm string spacing at the bridge. The neck has a little relief with the height at the 12th fret of 3mm on the bass side. The guitar plays well, the saddle has with lots of room on the saddle for adjustment should it be needed.

The guitar comes with its original Martin Guitars moulded Case
