£2,750.00
Amber PRS Custom 24 from 2008 in superb condition with a stunning Artist Grade quilted Maple top with gold hardware and hand signed by Paul Reed Smith at a PRS Experience Day. Introduced in the mid-80’s the Custom 24 is the original and definitive PRS, with figured Maple top, Mahogany back and neck, Rosewood fretboard, volume and 5 way rotary control and 24 frets.
Featuring a Mahogany body with stunning Artist Grade Quilted Maple top, a Mahogany neck with a Madagascan Ebony fingerboard. The Fingerboard is inlayed with the outline Birds offered from 2008. The neck carve is the popular PRS Pattern thin (wide/thin) profile. The guitar comes with a pair of zebra PRS pickups without covers. An HFS in the bridge and Vintage Bass in the neck. Originally meaning Hot, Fat, and Screams, the HFS was the evolution of the original Standard Treble pickup. Measuring 15K the HFS is a powerful pickup with a balance of aggression, clear highs, strong mid-range, and strong bass. The Vintage Bass in the neck is the evolution of the original Standard Bass pickup and measures 8.5K. The Vintage Bass has a warm high-mid sound that’s excellent for rock or jazz. Pickups are controlled by the five way rotary switch accessing coil tap tones on both pickups. Hardware comprises a Gold PRS Tremolo with PRS Phase 2 locking tuners with Gold buttons.
The guitar is in faultless condition throughout, the finish is superb with very little signs that the guitar has had much playtime at all. The guitar comes safety housed in its original PRS case.
