The archetypal mid-1970’s Fender Jazz Bass in fantastic original condition including the pickup and bridge covers, the 3-tone sunburst finish is very vibrant with just the right amount of graduation between the black, red and yellow. 1974 onwards the maple fingerboards get pearl inlays and white binding, the pickguard in line with all Fender models also changes to black 3-ply in 1975 with the thumb rest moving to the bass side above the strings. The finish shows minimal wear, the front and back of the bass are very clean with the only wear to the underside of the instrument. The neck is equally clean with one ding above the truss rod strip.
The pickups are original and have never been unsoldered from the 3 mid 75 pots. Plugged in with the pickups and tone up the bass has a real punchy tone, with lots of sustain and a balanced tone all across the neck.
The bass comes with a non-original hard case.
