1983 Fender American Standard Stratocaster - Sienna Sunburst
Introduced in 1981 and as a result of Fender hiring Dan Smith from Yamaha to revive their range of guitars. The Standard Stratocaster featured the smaller headstock, four-bolt neck, body-end truss rod adjustment screw, and lighter alder body of the original traditional Stratocaster. This era Strat can often be confused with the earlier '81/mid '83 three-knob versions, the later Dan Smith era Stratocasters had two knobs and a top mounted input, 12" fingerboard radius and the Schaller FreeFlyte tremolo system. Having just had three 1983 Standard Stratocasters through we have just had a lovely example in Sienna Sunburst come in. The guitar is in lovely condition, comes with the all-important hard to find tremolo arm and feels great set up on a set of 10's. The instrument is sold with a gigbag.
