2003 Martin HD-28V, Roman Zajicek re-top, Sunburst
Superb, upgraded players' Martin HD-28V from 2003. This near 20 year old instrument has had the top replaced and upgraded to Adirondack Spruce by Czech Master Luthier Roman Zajicek of Rozawood.
The Martin HD-28V was one of Martins most popular instruments in the Vintage Series and an excellent recreation of one of it’s most iconic instruments. The HD-28V was in production from 1995 to 2018 and is still a very popular instrument today. The guitar features are all standard Martin HD-28V spec with the exception of the guitars top. The original Martin Sitka Spruce has been replaced and improved with a fine piece of tight, straight grained Adirondack Spruce. The work has been completed to an exceptional standard inside and out. The inside bears Roman's signature and a 2006 date.
The guitar sounds excellent; big and open with a deep, rounded bass and tight shimmering highs, with plenty of volume and headroom. The neck is a comfortable V profile and the lacquer has been played through and feels wonderfully broken in. The guitar has been a working instrument and has various marks and dings, there is a tell-tale area of wear by the sound hole rosette and the afore mentioned wear to the neck.
The guitar is fully acoustic but comes with an end pin jack fitted ready for your pick up of choice. Comes complete with an aftermarket case.
