2004 was an important year for Fender that saw the company celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Stratocaster, as part of the celebrations Fender released a trio of commemorative 1954 inspired models from the Custom Shop, Deluxe Series and American Series range.
The guitar features a solid ash body with striking 2-Tone Sunburst finish, a 22 fret, satin finished maple neck with rolled fingerboard edges and ‘Spaghetti’ Fender logo decal. Three Fender Custom Shop 1954 pickups with 5 way switch, master volume and No-load tone control mounted to a single ply parchment pickguard. Fender two point Tremolo and Fender/Schaller Deluxe staggered tuners keep the strings stable.
The guitar is in excellent condition with little to no fret wear and no significant manis to the body or neck. These commemorative guitars were only available 2004 and thanks to their impressive spec and price point have become quite collectable. The guitar plays well and the combination of Custom Shop ’54 pickups and Ash body sounds fantastic. The guitar comes with its original Tweed commemorative case, strap, tags and manuals.
