Crafted by the talented men and women of the Gibson Custom Shop the ’57 Reissue has been in production since the ‘90s, a certified classic it features the all important Antique gold Goldtop Finish, carved maple top, mahogany back and one-piece mahogany neck with long tenon joint and bound Rosewood fingerboard with pearl Trapeze position marker inlays. 1957 Was the first year the Les Paul Model was fitted with Humbuckers and the Reissue has a great pair of matched Burstbucker 1 and 2 PAF style Humbuckers fitted. Hardware is nickel throughout, gently patinated to match the guitars finish. Tuners are Gibson Deluxe with Keystone buttons. Bridge and tailpiece are period correct ABR-1 and stop tailpiece. The plastics are an aged cream finish.
The guitar is in excellent condition throughout, the finish is excellent and aside from the faintest of checking emanating from the volume and tone pointers it is close to faultless. The guitar is a Darkback version, offered by Gibson alongside a Natural option. The neck is a chunky C profile. Measurements are 43.11mm, 23.77mm and 26.44mm at the nut, 1st and 12th fret respectively. The guitar plays very well on its original frets, the frets show very little wear. The Burstbucker pickups measure 7.28 in the neck and 7.80 in the bridge.
The guitar weighs a comfortable 9.3lbs and comes with its original Gibson case, Certificate and tags.
