Excellent Fender American Professional Telecaster Deluxe in almost new condition. Lightweight Ash body with a Maple Fingerboard and black trim evokes the best of the 1970’s Deluxes with a few modern tweaks. 2016 would see Fender rebrand the Fender USA range with the new Professional Series replacing the American Standard series in the Fender range. The American Professional Series would maintain the high level of quality and versatility of their predecessors whilst subtly improving the models without sacrificing the broad appeal they already enjoy.
Featuring a lightweight Ash body with a Natural finish, the Maple neck has 22 narrow tall frets and a ‘Modern Deep-C’ tapered neck profile with a satin finish with the exception of the headstock face. Pickups are the excellent Shawbucker Humbuckers designed by Fenders in-house pickup guru Tim Shaw. The tuners are staggered height Fender sealed units, the bridge is a 6-saddle, hardtail, strings through body design with bent steel saddles. The pickguard it a black 3-ply Deluxe style, hardware is a mixture of Nickel and Chrome plated.
The guitar is in excellent condition with little wear throughout, in fact, the guitar looks like it’s never been played. The Natural finish in combination with the Maple fingerboard and black trim give the guitar an instant ’70s feel. The concessions to modern functionality balances well with it’s appearance to create an eye-catching, comfortable playing guitar that has all the benefits of 60 years of development.
