Super cool, heavily modded Fender Troublemaker Tele previously owned by Dan Hawkins from the Darkness and sold with full provenance.
Launched in 2018 the Troublemaker Tele was part of Fenders Parallel Universe series and featuring a Mahogany Body with Maple cap, Mahogany Neck with Rosewood fingerboard and dual Tim Shaw Humbuckers these Les Paul-a-likes were incredibly popular at the time and sold well. This Troublemaker Tele then received a full makeover by highly regarded UK guitar builder and luthier Andy Guyton who transformed the guitar into the fire-breathing single pickup Junior-cum-Esquire! The Shaw humbuckers have been removed and the neck pickup plugged. The bridge pickup has been replaced with a hot Bare Knuckle Pickups Nail Bomb with chrome Radiator cover and white bobbins. A new pickguard has been added covering the vacant neck pickup route and the independent volume and tone controls have been replaced with a single volume control with the vacant holes tastefully plugged. The three way switch now operates as a kill switch with a new ‘not on-on’ poker chip crafted. The body was shaved and contoured on the left side so that the edge would not cut into Dan's arm whilst at the same time giving it a vintage roadworn relic look!
