2005 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Custom Telecaster in a tastefully aged Relic Black finish. An excellent playing example and a great weight at just over 7lbs. 1 of 100 that were made available and original throughout, the guitar comes with its Limited Ed. Custom Shop Case and Certificate.

Featuring a lightweight, Double-bound Alder body with traditional Telecaster routes in a Relic Black Nitrocellulose finish that suits the early sixties appearance well. The 21 fret Maple neck has an Indian Rosewood fingerboard with wide spaced dot position marker at the 12th fret. The neck has an accurate early sixties feel with a slim oval profile, measuring 21.08mm at the 1st fret and increasing to 23.95mm at the 12th. The fingerboard has a 9.5” radius with Medium Jumbo fret wire, the nut width is the standard Fender width with a measurement of 41.87mm.

The guitar comes with an authentic set of Custom Shop ’63 Telecaster pickups fitted. The electronics are wired in the post ’67 modern style with the three way switch offering each pickup individually as well as in parallel in the middle position. The bridge pickup has a reading of 6.89K with the neck balancing at 7.19K. Hardware and plastics are all period correct with Kluson tuners, 8-hole pickguard and Fender stamped bridge plate with threaded saddles.

The guitar comes into us form the original owner, it has been played but well looked after. There is a is light fret wear indicating the guitar has been used but cosmetically it is great condition with any additional bumps or marks blending in to the tastefully aged relic finish. The guitar plays well with the tried and tested Telecaster pickups combo sounds great with the authoritative bridge pickup having plenty of presence without being spikey and the neck pickup balancing perfectly in the middle position.

In all a great Limited Edition Custom Telecaster that looks the part, plays well and sounds great!
