Excellent, twenty+ year old Fender American Standard Stratocaster in striking White Blonde over Ash finish with Maple fingerboard and white plastics. The Fender American Standard Series was a staple of the Fender range from the mid-eighties until the range was rebranded the Professional range in 2017. The model was revamped in 2000 with a few changes over the previous American Standard model.

This guitar features a lightweight, Ash body with a Blonde finish that has taken on more of a Vintage Blonde appearance over the years. The one-piece Maple neck has 22 medium jumbo frets and a Medium-C neck profile with a traditional Spaghetti Fender Logo. The guitar comes with Fender’s Delta tone pickup system with a Hot bridge pickup, Reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup and a Standard neck pickup wired through a 5-way switch with a Master volume control, Standard neck pickup tone control with the Middle/ 'bridge pickup a shared “no-load" tone control. Tuners are staggered height Die-cast Deluxe Fender units, the bridge is the 2 point Synchronised Tremolo unit. Plastics are white with a 3-ply pickguard and spring cover and white pickup covers, knobs and switch tip.

Bought new by the previous owner in 2000, he wanted a Blonde guitar with a maple neck but the shop only had a Natural Strat with Maple neck so the necks were swapped over. The guitar is in great overall condition, there are a couple of small nicks and bumps (the most noticeable being the behind the 4th fret on the neck) and some minor fret wear but nothing you wouldn’t expect of a near 25 year old instrument. Playability is excellent and the Delta Tone System leads to a very versatile sounding Stratocaster.

The guitar comes with its original Fender moulded Hardshell case with key, Tremolo arm, Allen keys, Schaller Strap locks and hang tag. (with the 721 natural colour code).
