The guitar is in great over all condition, the frets are showing some wear but the guitar plays well regardless. The cherry finish shows very little wear, especially to the front of the guitar. The rear shows some worming but not so much to have broken through the lacquer finish. The neck is a very comfortable profile that Gibson were using during this period sitting between the 50’s and 60’s profile they were using offering on the Les Paul Standard of the period. Nut width is 43.17 with a depth of 21.61mm at the first fret increasing to 25mm even at the 12th. The 490R/498T pickups are a mixture of AlNiCo II (neck) & V (bridge) magnets with an output of 7.8K in the neck and 13.62 at the bridge.

With a great feeling neck and a nicely played in feel it’s a great sounding 20 year old SG. The original Gibson USA case is included.
