Released in 1989 to commemorate 35 years since the introduction of the Les Paul Custom in 1954 and based on a late ’50s version of the model. The 35th Anniversary Les Paul features a solid mahogany body with no maple cap, single piece mahogany neck, bound ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl block inlays,, single ring Kluson style tuners, 1959 format style ink serial number, 3 PAF reissue humbucker pickups and gold ABR-1 bridge and tailpiece. The iconic multi-bound headstock as the words "35th Anniversary" inlay in the spit diamond inlay.
Late eighties Gibson guitars often go under the radar compared to later Gibson Custom Shop reissues with excellent build quality and attention to detail with prehistoric reissues like
this 35th Anniversary Les Paul epitomizing this. The guitar has a 1 11/16 nut width and a comfortable medium C profile, weighing 10.7 lbs the guitar has an authoritative tone and feels well balanced on a strap or in the lap.
The guitar is in Excellent ++ condition with no repairs or modifications and comes with it’s original Gibson case.
