Description

Killer top Gibson Gary Moore Signature Les Paul from 2001 in fantastic condition. Released between 2000 and 2002 as part of the Gibson Signature Series the Gibson Gary Moore Les Paul was a standard production model that has become very popular since its discontinuation thanks to the guitars unique feature set and the continued popularity and legacy of the great Gary Moore.

Featuring an unbound Mahogany body with a AA flamed Maple top finished in Lemon burst (inspired by the original ‘Greenie’ Les Paul) Nitrocellulose finish, a 1959 profile Mahogany neck with unbound Rosewood fingerboard, Gibson's newly released BurstBucker pickups (a reversed zebra pickup in the neck position and double black in the bridge) and an engraved Gary Moore's truss rod cover.

The guitar is in excellent condition throughout, there is a bruise to the upper back radius but other than the lightest signs of play wear the guitar represents far better than most 20 year old instruments. Frets are polished and have a decent crown, the Rosewood fingerboard is pleasantly figured. The neck has a comfortable ’59 style profile with measurements of 20.15mm at the 1st fret and 25.12 at the 12th. The nut width is 43.15mm. The guitar weighs in at a very respectable 8.6 lbs. Measuring 7.26K in the bridge and 7.29K in the neck position the early BurstBucker suit a variety of styles and have a great vintage voice thanks to the Alnico II magnets and mismatched coils.

The guitar comes with its original Gibson case with blue lining and velvet shroud, the original pickguard was never fitted to the guitar so the top is free from holes. Unfortunately the pickguard has since been lost so is not included.

All in all a great looking and playing Les Paul with a unique feature set!
