Superb condition, barely played, 20 year old Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus in Heritage Cherry Sunburst with a stunning AAA grade Maple top, dark rosewood fingerboard and a great sounding set of pickups.

2002 was the year that would see Gibson refresh the specs of the Les Paul Standard offering the guitar with either 50’s or 60’s spec necks as well as offering a Premium Plus option for guitars with higher spec Maple tops. As part of the refresh the guitars were released with Kluson tuners instead of Grovers, thinner body and neck binding than the previous edition and 50's style gold bonnet knobs with no pointers for a cleaner look.
This particular Les Paul has a tight, consistently figured chevron Maple top with nice top carve that more than justifies its "plus top" billing. The finish is still gloss and looks great in its deep Heritage Cherry finish. The neck has the 60’s profile, the slimmer of the two offered but the profile is by no means as slim as original early sixties examples can be. Nut width is the 1 11/16th The frets are in excellent condition with little to no wear showing. Pickups in this guitar are the stock, excellent sounding set of Gibson Burstbucker 1 and 2 with the lower power Burstbucker 1 in the neck position.
The guitar weights 9.3lbs is in fantastic condition for age and comes with its original Gibson case.
