Starting in 1998 the American Vintage Reissue ’52 Telecaster was the second incarnation of a model first released in 1982 as the U.S. Vintage Series Telecaster. The ’52 Telecaster Reissue was an instant hit for Fender and is still equally as popular today.
The classic Fender American Vintage ’52 Telecaster features the Iconic Blackguard combination of Butterscotch finish with Maple neck and Black pickguard. The classic appointments don’t stop there; the maple neck has a comfortable ’52- esque profile “U” shape profile with vintage frets and a 7.25” radius, tuners are no-line Klusons. The lightweight ash body is finished in Butterscotch to replicate the darkening that occurs to the original examples. Two American Vintage Tele Alnico III Single coil pickups are housed in a black, single-ply fingerboard and a vintage bridge with three brass saddles. The guitar is still wired in the factory method but comes with the modern wiring kit included.
