Their blend of alternative rock, punk, and metal, with powerful vocals and socially conscious lyrics gained them significant attention from the outset with the release of their debut album "Paranoid & Sunburnt" in 1995 followed by "Stoosh" a year later. Skunk Anansie continued to evolve their sound with subsequent albums "Post Orgasmic Chill" (1999), "Wonderlustre" (2010), and "Anarchytecture" (2016), and throughout their career they have been praised for their dynamic live performances and outspoken stance on issues like politics, sexuality, and racism. Guitarist, songwriter and founder member Ace played a crucial role in shaping the band's distinctive sound - his heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and dynamic solos contributing to the band's energetic and impactful music.

During their career Skunk Anansie have shared stages with with such bands as Metallica, Rammstein, Muse, U2, The Rod Hot Chilli Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, David Bowie and the Sex Pistols. They continue to play sell out shows and release new music under their own independent label. Coinciding with their 30th anniversary Ace has partnered with Vintage 'n' Rare Guitars to offer for sale some of the iconic instruments he used during his career.

This is a striking Framus AK-1974 Custom from 2009 in gloss Piano Black finish. Released as homage to the ground breaking 1970s Jan Akkerman Signature model. Designed to meld features of Akkermans two favourite guitars; a Gretsch White Falcon and a much modified Gibson Les Paul Recording model into one stage ready guitar.  The re-issue features many of the new innovations of the original with a solid neck through construction with two semi hollow wings, smoothly contoured neck heel giving excellent access to the a 24 fret ebony fretboard and the 6-way switching that offers split-coil combinations in addition to the standard full-humbucker positions. Pickups are Seymour Duncan SH-2 (neck) and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 humbucker pickup (bridge) with fully covered chrome covers emulating the look of the Lawrence pickups used on the original run. The hardware is chrome plated throughout giving a high contrast look with the White binding and gloss black finish. The neck has a comfortable C-D profile with measurements of 21.31mm at the first fret, 24.89mm at the 12th fret and a nut width of 42.95mm. The guitar weighs a sturdy 9.3lbs/4.23kg.

"Played form new on the Skunk Black Traffic LP 2011 tracks then left in a case for studio work and not toured, hence the excellent condition. A really amazing range of tones from the selector and hollow body response, and incredible playability make this a fantastic studio guitar" comments Ace.
