Stunning Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster in Daphne Blue NOS nitrocellulose finish with Gold Hardware in excellent condition complete with the original case and certificate.

Featuring a lustrous Daphne Blue NOS (new old stock) Nitro finish over a lightweight Alder body with traditional Stratocaster routes. The period correct ‘slab’ rosewood fingerboard is wonderfully dark with a 9.5 inch radius with 21 vintage frets on a silky smooth maple neck that feels great. Three Fender Custom Shop pickups all sound superb, effortlessly covering all of the iconic Strat tones we know and love. The guitar comes from factory with a full compliment of gold hardware, an option Fender offered in the sixties as well.

The guitar is in great condition; especially for a 20 year old NOS guitar, the Daphne Blue has marginally darkened with exposure to UV.  This in combination with the gold hardware three-ply green pickguard gives the guitar an elegant appearance. The guitar has had a different pickguard and plastics fitted with an additional (hidden) screw hole added and the middle pickup tone control has been moved to the bridge pickup. A very popular mod. Electronics are otherwise stock and sound great.

The Fender Custom Shop guitars from the late ‘90s and early ‘00s have a real quality to them, the guitars are now 20+ years old with tonewoods that have matured and nicely settled.

The guitar comes with its original Fender case, certificate and assorted accessories.
